Privacy Policy — UpMaker

Overview

UpMaker is an iOS app that helps automotive dealerships and salespeople prepare vehicle listings for Facebook Marketplace. The app is local-first: your inventory, photos, and dealership settings are stored on your device. We do not operate user accounts, we do not run analytics SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Data We Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store personal data on any server, because we operate no servers. Everything you enter in UpMaker stays on your device, stored locally via Apple’s SwiftData framework.

Specifically, the app stores the following on your device only:

  • Vehicle information — year, make, model, trim, VIN, mileage, pricing, and listing status for the vehicles you enter.
  • Photos — vehicle photos you add through the app, stored as local data.
  • Dealership settings — store name, location, doc fee, and other configuration you provide during setup or in Settings.
  • Buyer messages — text you paste or type into the Reply Assistant to generate suggested replies. This text is used only to generate the reply draft on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.

Deleting the app deletes all of this data. Restoring from an iCloud backup is governed by Apple’s own backup terms.

Subscriptions & Payments

UpMaker offers auto-renewable subscriptions ($59/month for Lister, $99/month for Lister Pro). All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit 2.

  • We never see, collect, or store your payment information.
  • Subscription management, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple.
  • Apple’s privacy practices for purchases are described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

Data Storage & Security

All app data resides on your device and is protected by iOS sandboxing and, where applicable, your device’s passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID. Because we do not transmit your data to any server, there is no account to breach and no central database to compromise. As with any device, you are responsible for the physical security of your iPhone.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third party, for any reason. There are no advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no data brokers involved in this app.

The only third party that processes anything related to your use of UpMaker is Apple, for subscription billing as described above.

Children’s Privacy

UpMaker is a business tool intended for adults in the automotive industry. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will address it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
